Streisand may take Arafat Role
Radio report

Hollywood producers have heretofore been thwarted in their efforts to schedule the production of a film on Yasser Arafat because of the difficulty in locating an actor who could adequately and credibly resemble the former Palestinian leader. Thus far, the principle contender for the role appears to be Barbra Streisand, whose profile bears a striking resemblance to Arafat.

I don't know that she'll be able to take time from her twenty-third annual "Farewell Tour" for the filming.

She'll have to moderate her political views for the part.

You should be ashamed of yourself. Even Yasser wasn't THAT ugly...

I think Streisand should get the part... on 1 condition... she should have to be locked up in the Ramallah compound and left to die there, just like Arafat was.

I can see it now... "Yasser: The Musical" starring Barbra... it'll get rave reviews on Broadway & probably revive her sagging career. They'll probably give her a Tony award for it.
The highbrow New Yorkers will come out of the theater saying "I never knew Arafat could sing!"
