Firefox THEMES...download a few today.

For those who have Firefox, check out these awesome themes. I personally like "Phonecity" and "GrayModern". Just pick one and click "install", then navigate to the themes folder under tools to pick your new theme.

Very cool stuff.

I recommend the IE theme, to ease the transition to Firefox. I like it since it keeps your system colors and doesn't mess with the scrollbar width, etc....

http://mozfly.sitesled.com/

Though it says on the site the theme isn't for version 1.0, (and the theme maker is like several who are getting tired of trying to keep up with all the version changes) I tried it and it does work, as you can see:

Also, all Mozilla users need this free backup program that works with Firefox, the Mozilla suite, and Thunderbird mail:

Mozilla backup 1.3.2

I installed Firefox a couple weeks ago and enjoy it. However, I have a problem with Bookmarks in Firefox. When you open Bookmarks in Firefox and then download a page and then go back to Bookmarks again it does not go to where you were. It goes back to the top every time. Is there a way to make Bookmarks go back to where you. Windows always goes back to where you were. Can someone assist me on this. Thanks.

I think you mean that if you saved a bookmark in the "Free Republic" folder, that's where you'd like to see it return the next time?

That's how it worked with 0.8 and the 0.9 series, but with 1.0 it always goes back to "Bookmarks"....

When I go to bookmarks Firefox and download a page and then close Bookmarks and then return to Bookmarks it does not go to where I was previously or show the Page I am on. Windows does this for me and it is a big help in browsing with Bookmarks. May be I am missing something. Any help would be appreciated.

I admit confusion here: "It goes back to the top every time."

Is this with every site or certain ones? Do you have any example links?

It is with Bookmarks that is the main problem. Most sites it goes back to where you were. There are some exceptions but not many. It always goes back to the top with Bookmarks.

I admit I'm still confused. Are you talking about....well, let's use this thread for the example. The start of the thread is here:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1289943/posts

Mt first response to you is here, post 25:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-chat/1289943/posts?page=25#25

That's handy for long threads, or just taking up where you left off. Is this what you meant? If so, I bookmarked it in Firefox and it went right to post 25.

(confused)

After rereading your post # 25, I guess that is what I mean. In other words if I click Free Republic in Bookmarks and close Bookmarks to read that page and then go back to Bookmarks I go to the top of Bookmarks not to the Free Republic listing in Bookmarks. In Windows its Favorites goes back automatically to where you were plus the page you were at is highlighted. Thanks for your concern and patience.

You're welcome. Wish I could help you more, but I've been in the midst of a Senior Moment the last couple of weeks. I'm using IE6.0 (no service packs) with Winduhs ME, and it never returns to the last place I marked in Favorites, so I might be missing something?
