'DON'T IMPOSE YOUR VALUES' ARGUMENT IS BIGOTRY IN DISGUISE
57 minutes ago Op/Ed - John Leo
By John Leo
I am struggling to understand the "don't impose your values" argument. According to this popular belief, it is wrong, and perhaps dangerous, to vote your moral convictions unless everybody else already shares them. Of course if everybody already shares them, no imposition would be necessary.
John Leo
Nobody ever explains exactly what constitutes an offense in voting one's values, but the complaints appear to be aimed almost solely at conservative Christians, who are viewed as divisive when they try to "force their religious opinions on us." But as UCLA law professor Eugene Volokh writes, "That's what most lawmaking is -- trying to turn one's opinions on moral or pragmatic subjects into law."

Any stance is an imposition of values... Even the philosophy, "Don't impose your values..." imposes a belief.
I remind my friends, who accuse me of imposing my Christian faith on others, that it is my responsibiliy to do so.
What's the alternative, the imposition of no faith, or that the government knows more than the God I believe in?!

Good point that imposing our Christian faith is the only way to differentiate between right and wrong. What else could we impose, if not our Christian faith? The liberals and pro-abortionists want us to follow their loose rules of conduct, lose God, and join them in their devilish acts. They do it by hiding from the truth, and by placing inaccurate labels and using hyped-up rhetoric, to impose their lack of faith on us. The liberals never come out and say they're pro-abortion (it doesn't sound nice enough), but that we're right-wing fanatics. They can't call us pro-lifers (that sounds too nice) so they call us Christian Taliban instead. Sometimes you just have to call them on it. Read this article, and see my reply #33.

Great points!
I read your response to the article about the "Christian Taliban."
Let me know if you get a response. I'd be curious to see what he has to say.
God Bless.
