Cal-Stanford makes the list because the greatest play in college football history occurred in one of its games, November 20, 1982.

Stanford does not deserve to be on any list for three reasons:

1. Their mascot is a tree

2. Their nickname "Cardinal" is a color, not a bird.

3. Their Band is the largest group of classless and egomanical people ever gathered except possibly for a DNC convention.
