I plopped one in my cart with a sigh of relief. I just hate going through all that thawing hassle.

I'll never forget the first turkey I ever made

I was about 19 yr old .. Mom went down the shore with 2 of my sisters and I was home by myself .. I was working and couldn't get time off

Well .. one night I was having a bunch of friends over and thought I'd cook the turkey mom had in the freezer

Just one problem .. I didn't know I was suppose to defrost it

It too FOREVER to cook .. *L*

The first turkey that I cooked, I left the giblets in the cavity. But, my brother's wife has the best turkey story.

It was their first Thanksgiving after being married. She invited bookoos of family for dinner. My brother persuaded her to cook the turkey on his gas grill since it was so large. Well, she lights the grill and puts the turkey on for a slow cook. When she went to check it later, the flame had gone out. In trying to relight it, she blew the turkey off the grill into the flower bed. After they picked some pebble bits out of it, my brother finished the cooking while she tried to do something with her singed hair. LOL
