It's animated, for crying out loud. There were two-year olds in the audience. If your child is overly sensitive, that's one thing, but I can't see how superheroes fighting giant robots is any big deal.
It was also anti terrorist, anti pc and pro meritocracy.
Our 4 kids 7-16 loved it.
I particularly liked the scene where Mom explains to teen age daughter that "We don't have the luxury of doubt" that the bad guys wouldn't hold back because she was a child but would kill her if they got the chance.
They managed to pack a lot of conservative rationality into a fast paced and funny feature length cartoon.
