Back in the day is not something I dwell on, but I caught Dylan a few times in the Village as well. WMMR in Philly was a truly underground station changing from a hellacious jazz station to underground. I also caught the Velvet Underground, Lothar and the Hand People, and Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention at a great place called The Trauma in Philadelphia... it predated the Electric Factory by a few months.
You're taking me back as well..Ever get to the Fillmore East in the Village?..64-65 was just amazing..But the best ever for me was Oct 64.. the Beach Boys were just coming east..they played a weekend at the Acadeny of Music...an old theater on 14th street..I caught all 5 shows..I've seen them about 5 times since..over the last 30 years..that was still the best..
