Subbie Slip has her whip, handcuffs and legcuffs today.
The rest of the stuff is locked up in my drawer. I’m just letting all the new students know that we behave as if we were ladies and gentlemen in here. Those two words “as if” can get you an A if you make the subbie laugh.
Solipsism– noun
This word is pronounced “soe lip sizan”
Etymology: Latin: Solus=alone;+ispe=self;+ism
1) Any of various extreme versions of subjective idealism: as A (1) an epistemological theory that the self can know nothing but his own modifications and states (2) Solipsism of the present moment : an epistemological theory that the self knows to the exclusion of future and past states. 2) The adoption of an epistemological solipsism as a presence for a general metaphysical or an epistemological theory or as a scientific hypotheses.
3) Extreme indulgence of and concern with the self at the expense of social relationships especially as expressed in a failure of artistic communication.

solipsistic=adjective.

Thanks! We are back from the vet. The beeyatch acted all lively and bounced off the walls there. Diagnosed as inflamed bowel. She got shot and pills. She is resting now.
I just called to change root job appt, and learned that it was yesterday at 4 instead of today. Sheesh! Will be going on Tuesday.
Solipsism... though in reading the description I am reminded of Clinton and of Babs Streisand, walking thru life seeing themselves as the center of the universe.

I haven't written too many dysfunctional words lately. I've been good. But every now and again this word creature comes out of me. LOL!
