No. Mary Kate [anexoric] returned to LA for a "meeting", but returned within a week. Her program at NYU is very flexible and it's no problem to miss class. a good thing since it's reported that the 18 year olds are hanging out at clubs until the wee hours. Then they have to go home to their $7.1 million adjoining penthouses.

She's been trying to break away for about two years now. She gives every impression of being sick of show business and being told how to live by people who have a financial stake in her personal life. If she wants to take what's left of the money she's earned, be with a man she loves, start a family and get an education, more power to her. Isn't that what we encourage? Independent thinking.
As for her near-porno appearance in the past, that also seems to be something she's breaking away from.

One can only speculate that NYU is a liberal institution and coddles its students in order to keep them enrolled and happy.
Yes, however a degree in Finance could not hurt the womand. Her royalty income will be enormous and she does not want to end up bankrupt like Billy Joel.
