In extreme gratitude to the single most influential person to defeat John Kerry, due attention must be accorded to the Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court, who "interpreted" that Commonwealth's constitution to read that homosexuals can be married to each other, I have composed this little poem.
ODE TO MARGARET MARSHALL (Chief Justice of the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court)
Heres to you, Maggie darling and your counterculture Court.
You diddled poor John Kerry, as you diddled us - for sport.
The outcome was delightful and we have you to thank,
And we beknighted Bushies cheered as John F. Kerry sank.
And dear old Massachusetts has become a laughing-stock.
Its upper court made human culture just a thing to mock
You must have been mischievous; you must have thought it cute,
But you must be surprised to find America astute.
So thanks again dear Margaret, your cunningness paid off.
Soon well have an amendment, and to you my hat Ill doff.
And for the next election, we hope we can count on you
To keep your deviltry alive, well love it if you do.
