WSB Atlanta

Posted on 11/10/2004 8:25:09 PM PST by FreeAtlanta

Just announced here in Atlanta, WSB will pre-empt "Saving Private Ryan" in favor of some Jimmy Carter special. Their excuse? Private Ryan has harsh language. Do you all believe that?

Saving Pvt. Ryan totally appropriate to show on Veterans Day. I've got news for them. Sometimes soldiers fighting wars do use colorful language. They might even express their "lustings of the heart" right out loud.

On the other hand, my leading Chief Petty Officer came to me one day and said, "Sir, they've taken all of my tools away." This was at he height of Zumwalt.

I vote for Pvt. Ryan anytime.
