RE: Unless you expect him to put a brick fence all the way around the United states (taking away all beaches), there is absolutely NO WAY you can stop all illegals from getting in!!!!!!!!!!
Well for starters, enforce the law on ones who are known. Deport them with no quarter. Any who commit crimes - put them in the slammer for max sentences, fine them until they have nothing, then permanently deport them, to be arrested and put in prison for life if they ever return and are caught. No more kowtowing to Fox. No government aid to illegals and their kids. No drivers licenses. Can it be stopped, probably not, but at least some effort to slow it, and to kick ass on illegals, would be a step in the right direction. What kind of Texan are you any way. How can you not see the downsides of the current situation?
You are right, I am a Texan and I dislike having to pay the doctor bills, and education and housing for illegal immigrants. I hate it!!!!! I just think that you guys are acting like it is sooooooo easy. I wish you would realize that there are amnesty intl. lawyers, ACLU lawyers, activist judges, democrat local legislators, etc., that make your ideas harder than you seem to think it is.
Bush is President, not dictator or King. He was Governor of Texas, I am sure he explored his options at that time regarding the immigrant problem and he is trying to find a way of doing it that won't get hung up on legal technicalities and that an acitivist judge would not let him do.
Besides, I NEVER heard him back off his position, he just said he didn't advocate amnesty. If he hadn't said that then Kerry (blanket amnesty) would have been elected. The hispanic vote probably saved him.
Can't we discuss problems without becoming a BASH BUSH web site?
