What a fine morning! Last night, hubby gleefully shouted to me that Satan's minion had gone to his master at last.

Happy Veterans Day everyone! One of my favorite poems:

In Flanders Fields

In Flanders fields the poppies blow
Between the crosses, row on row
That mark our place; and in the sky
The larks, still bravely singing, fly
Scarce heard amid the guns below.

We are the Dead. Short days ago
We lived, felt dawn, saw sunset glow,
Loved and were loved, and now we lie
In Flanders fields.

Take up our quarrel with the foe:
To you from failing hands we throw
The torch; be yours to hold it high.
If ye break faith with us who die
We shall not sleep, though poppies grow
In Flanders fields.

John Mcrae

Let us never forget...

In Flanders Field is a wonderful poem.

Here's another I especially appreciate.

The Soldier

It is the soldier, not the reporter,
who has given us freedom of the press.

It is the soldier, not the poet,
who has given us freedom of speech.

It is the soldier, not the campus organizer,
who has given us the freedom to demonstrate.

It is the soldier, not the lawyer,
who has given us the right to a fair trial.

It is the soldier,
who salutes the flag,
who serves under the flag,
and whose coffin is draped by the flag,
who allows the protester to burn the flag.

By Charles M. Province

Thank you Veterans, God Bless you.

Here lies Yassir Arafat;
A coward, a murderous lying rat.
A stinking towel wrapt 'round his head,
Take him O Lord; we're glad he's dead.
