I didn't realize it had been 29 years either-I wonder if they will have something on Discovery channel on it tonight-I'll watch, even though I've seen it at least 10 times. I've always liked that song, too.
As The Wreck and Brandy are two of the very few songs I know by heart, my Maggie often hears them as she needs to be calmed or falling asleep. I’m not sure what the long-term effects will be. If nothing else, it ought make her very leery of sea men in general.
I've only watched it 50 or so times. The song is good but Lightfoot's mush mouth cracks me up.
