LOL! I agree with you stainlessbanner.
The new singers just don't cut it.
Waylon was great.

Keith Urban...I'm surprised. And Kenny Chesney over Tim McGraw? I thought Tim was the megastar with the big album sales.
Gretchen Wilson is hot hot hot right now, and album sales rule.

I bought three albums this year: Toby Keith, Josh Turner How's that Josh Turner CD? I really like his 'Long Black Train" and I wondered if the rest of the CD held up as well.

Happily, you can see Grand Ole Opry on GAC on Saturday night now. I've quit watching CMT since they added GAC to our satellite network - CMT is too "pop", without enough time spent on the music or the videos (especially the videos!)

I don't think Martina's eyes have been photoshopped. We saw her in concert once & those eyes are just the same. My husband would leave me for her, if she wasn't married.

I'd much rather have seen Junior Brown, Pat Green, the Derailers, etc. perform rather than Big and Rich or Shania.

Martina has an incredible voice, and she's very easy on the eyes. Faith Hill and Shania Twain, along with some others, show that country music is the place for gorgeous, talented ladies today. BTW, isn't "CMA Music Awards" redundant?

I thought the duet with his daughter was great. A nice rendition of Mockingbird for those of us that grew up listening to the original.

We bought the Toby Keith CD and the Josh Turner one. We let the children trash the Toby Keith one. Hubby thinks Josh Turner could be "another one-hit wonder." In other words, the album does not have any other real good songs. We do listen to "Long Black Train" when we're out and about.

BTW, isn't "CMA Music Awards" redundant? No, CMA stands for Country Music Academy.
