I would think that they would be more collectible too.
The Howard the Duck button must be very rare, you had to cut a coupon out of a 25 cent comic and mail it in with a dollar to get the button. I've never seen it anyplace else.
I wore my Nixon buttons to a party for the president earlier this year, everyone thought they were nifty and got a good laugh out of them. :)

I have a button that says "Elect a Brain for President," with a picture of "The Brain" (from "Pinky and the Brain") doing a two-fisted victory salute like Nixon. It's probably not worth much, but rare.
