More romantic than the Civic Center during a Pens game?

With its richly-upholstered love-seat and piped-in smooth jazz swaying from the speakers, it's the sort of place Cary Grant would have pursued some highfalutin' heiress in an Audrey Hepburn move. BFD.
Those come in every backseat of every '72 Caddy.

...some of history's greatest romantic writers being of the male gender.... Maybe to this guy, because most of the time the heroine dies at the end. :0

I remember crossing the 9th street bridge at about 6:30 a.m. on my way to work, and invariably encountered the tranny hookers winding up their business day in front of the Edison Hotel/Club Elite/whatever it's called now. Talk about romantic ...
As for the Renaissance Hotel, is that the former Fulton Theatre? My piano teacher used to have his studio there. After lessons, my mother and I would walk over to Horne's to get good stuff from the deli. Not so romantic, but oh so delicious.
