Oh puleeeeze..........you've got to be kidding.........
It does provide a good use for those socks that end up solo after the wash
Well, it doesn't mean that it will happen but we should be pleased if it does because it means we win!!!
That's true!!!!!!
You're gonna have to help me out here (yeah, yeah, I know - "Which way did you come in??") - I am speakerless - what is the backgound tune-age?
Glenn Beck's gloat fest 2004. Mostly Glenn mocking the Dems intersperced with laughter and a dance track.
the pictures (the ones I got to see) are wonderful..............but it locked up my computer and I had to reboot. SIGH
In my wanderings, peripatetic
I have searched for the dem, most pathetic
Is it Kerry or Gore?
Maybe Streisand or Moore?
My head will explode--Call a medic!
A++ there really is no choosing the MOST pathetic Dem, there is an entire SMORGASBORD to choose from!
I am not one to wish ill upon anyone...........but I do find it terribly ironic that the Delaware Governor's towing business burned to the ground last night.
She who is oh so concerned about air quality ran a business that contributed more to air pollution than all of the smoky bars and taverns she has so deperately tried to put out of business..........and now it is gone in a huge puff of smoke.
You can always wish ill will toward a towing business (NOT the kind who offer emergency road service, obviously). Steve Goodman did the quinessential anti-tow truck song with "Lincoln Park Pirates." It's kind of a local fave for Chicago, but way cool if you ever come across it.
MOrning. No less then an inch of snow descended last night, our Florida dog has been actively checking it all out. Had to clean snow off the car this morning.......yuck! This winter business is old already. I see you all started without me....
oh Lordy UPState NY is an abomination!
Lincoln Park Pirates
from the Steve Goodman LP "Somebody Else's Troubles"
The streetlamps are on in Chicago tonight,
And lovers a'gazin' at stars;
The stores are all closin', and Daley is dozin',
And the fat man is counting the cars...
And there's more cars than places to put 'em, he says,
But I've got room for them all;
So 'round 'em up boys, 'cause I want some more toys,
In the lot by the grocery store...
To me, way, hey, tow them away,
The Lincoln Park Pirates are we,
>From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy
And we always collect our fee!
So it's way, hey, tow 'em away,
We plunder the streets of your town,
Be it Edsel or Chevy, there's no car too heavy,
And no one can make us shut down.
We break into cars when we gotta,
With hammer and pickaxe and saw;
And they said this garage had no license;
But little care I for the law!
Our drivers are friendly and courteous;
Their good manners you always will get;
'Cause they all are recent graduates
Of the charm school in Joliet.
To me, way, hey, tow them away,
The Lincoln Park Pirates are we,
>From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy
And we always collect our fee!
So it's way, hey, tow 'em away,
We plunder the streets of your town,
Be it Edsel or Chevy, there's no car too heavy,
And no one can make us shut down.
And when all the cars are collected,
And all of their fenders are ruined,
Then I'll tow all the boats in Belmont Harbor
To the Lincoln Park Lagoon;
And when I've collected the ransom,
And sunk all the ones that won't yield;
I'll tow all the planes that are blocking the runways
At Midway, O'Hare, and Meigs Field!
To me, way, hey, tow them away,
The Lincoln Park Pirates are we,
>From Wilmette to Gary, there's nothin' so hairy
And we always collect our fee!
So it's way, hey, tow 'em away,
Now citizens, gather around,
And I think it's enough, let's call his bluff,
Let's throw the bum out of town!
Is that the Bowling for Dollars guy?
The company does do emergency road service, along with the normal stuff that no one likes. It's not a bad company. The Gov's late husband, who started the company, was by all accounts a wonderful, wonderful person.
Something changed her while she was Lt. Governor - and not for the better. She was a highly regarded and respected State Senator who was very well-liked on both sides of the aisle. Now she reminds me of Hillary Clinton.
Oh man...........YUCK is right.
We had a hard freeze warning last night......mind you I don't believe we've even had a frost warning yet. It seems like it went from summer to winter overnight.
Oh, yeah !Dubya re-elected, da$$hole (and locally Frost) is toast,
the GOP gains Senate and House seats.Life is good! :^D
