Those aren't bad ideas but I think we need more. I'm trying to figure out what that might be. I think Horowitz might be the most well known figure to maintain the level of activism that we need, or at least that appeals to me.
military absentee ballets must be mailed out x-weeks before election (they were mailed out so late in many states that there was no time for them to be back on time
find out how many other absentee ballets didn't get mailed at all (my son's never did) - and see if there was a discrepancy between pub and dem.
valid ID MUST be shown to vote!
No more same day voting - if you want to take advantage of the privilege to vote - GET REGISTERED a minimum of 2 months ahead...for verification and cross checking. (If a person wants to vote, they can get registered first!)
( When I was young, you had to be registered 6 months in advance!) ---anyway ---voting reform - the process has to be tightened up. (Look at New Mexico - they're still manufacturing votes down there - only about 1/3 of the precincts counted! (last time, they only had to manufacture a few hundred extra - Bush had won by a few hundred...then, oh my, they "found a box of ballots, ALL for Gore, that gave Gore the state with about 200 votes. Bush is now ahead about 8,000 votes, so it's taking longer - and they say they wont be done until the 23rd! Want to take bets who'll end up winning?)
