...but only with the greatest implausible stretch of the imagination.

Maybe Chris can re-up with the Peace Corps, and get assigned to a country in Africa where he will eat monkeys rather than just being one.

We aren't at this point in time.

The counterculture railed against the administration and all that America represented using the military/industrial complex as the base of protest. We certainly do not have the mechanisms or organization that the socialists had during that period. The socialists had already been organized for a decade prior to the sixties.

We do have the internet and talk radio. My thoughts would be since we can't demonstrate, the next thing would be to take down the purveyors of ideas, i.e., Chris Matthews. If we could get a coordinated campaign going, we probably could.

As I said in another post, Horowitz is the only one who comes to mind when I think about a serious thoughtful counter attack. He has a project going now (Shadow Party Project) which is aimed at (paraphrasing) revealing what is behind the Democratic Party today. He was looking for donations to get it up and running.

We have some things to work with as a result of this election and I'm going to continue to work to figure out the best way to do this.

Great idea. I admire Horowitz. Is his site online? I'd like to get involved.

We've also got to do something to tighten up valid voting...no more voting outside your precinct

military absentee ballets must be mailed out x-weeks before election (they were mailed out so late in many states that there was no time for them to be back on time

find out how many other absentee ballets didn't get mailed at all (my son's never did) - and see if there was a discrepancy between pub and dem.

valid ID MUST be shown to vote!

No more same day voting - if you want to take advantage of the privilege to vote - GET REGISTERED a minimum of 2 months ahead...for verification and cross checking. (If a person wants to vote, they can get registered first!)

( When I was young, you had to be registered 6 months in advance!) ---anyway ---voting reform - the process has to be tightened up. (Look at New Mexico - they're still manufacturing votes down there - only about 1/3 of the precincts counted! (last time, they only had to manufacture a few hundred extra - Bush had won by a few hundred...then, oh my, they "found a box of ballots, ALL for Gore, that gave Gore the state with about 200 votes. Bush is now ahead about 8,000 votes, so it's taking longer - and they say they wont be done until the 23rd! Want to take bets who'll end up winning?)

These are all great ideas. I am really trying to figure out a way to best go after them. As we both know, we can't go to sleep and wake up in 4 years to complain. If I think of anything brilliant, after due celebration, I will let you know:)

As for Horowitz, go here and scroll down. It's almost in the middle of the page, under Shadow Party.

I'm gonna puke.

CNN, MSNBC are not American news stations. They are part of the socialist world government which wishes to swallow us whole.

ON Hardball tonight Matthew's interviewing an embedded reporter at Falluja and asks her.."are the insurgents manning their posts like at Stalingard?" The impression he wants is that brave Iraq nationalists are fighting US aggressors..he follows up with even more outlandish question.. speaking about the Iraq National Guard and how they may be expected to perform he asks her.."do they think they are being tricked to believe they are fighting terrorists and not Iraqi nationalists?

Sissy Chrissy has a corrupt view of our mission, our people and our marines.

He is the enemy within!

First Chrissie and then Olberman... who is the NBC boss of Rick Kaplan's? I think it's time for another letter-writing (email) campaign like over O'Donnell.....

Those who do not learn from the past are doomed to repeat it. The playbook is already out there and it hasn't changed. What will change is our reaction to it.

So, will the Bush Whitehouse have the cajones to enforce the rule of law and indict, convict and imprison those guilty of treason and sedition? The Nixon Whitehouse did not do these things and one of those traitors just almost won the Presidency.

Regards,

TS

Chris Matthew on Hardball liken's US Marine's to Nazi aggressors at Stalingard

There are a comple of minor differences
1 Paulus's Sixth German Army had an idiot telling them what to do. We don't.
2 the Germans lost....We won't
3 The terrorist aren't the Russian army...by any stretch of the imagination.

I hate Chris Matthews

He's not worth the effort.

But it applies here also.

Not strange if one reconizes that they are ARAB nationalists. Iraq is a political abstraction. But most likely most of them as local Sunnis who are fighting desperately to retain their former hegemony.

But again, the evidence points to the opposite conclusion. While there are some locals, most likely most of them, and most of the leadership are not.

As for the notion of pan-arabism, one is on slightly better footing, but that most certainly is not what Matthews is talking about.
