I welcome thee to this hearth
where bread and drink we may imbibe
take comfort here from the storm
of howling winds and treacherous roads
and sit the while with me this eve
of Hallowed Christmas and Hollied Halls
of cheerful songs way into the night.
The silent wander need not fear the journey
falling ever near
for thy keep is well endowed
and loves heart, too, enshroud
long nights on dry and dusty sands
in long far away ancient lands
The songs will echo over the miles
for we remember the brilliant smiles
of the dancer from this land
stepping ever lightly grand
ever stalwart ever grand.
The stars do hold you in their care.
