Right or wrong, we need people like McCain. If the Reps drift too far right, we're going to run into the same problems as the Dems.

McCain's critics should real Hugh Hewett's book, "If it isn't close, they can't cheat". He makes a good case that we need every Republican we can get, even the RINO's.

No individual, not even Bush, can get anything done alone. It takes a party, and specifically, it takes a majority. Without that, a member of Congress can't even get a hearing on a bill, because the majority leaders set the schedules.

We don't even have 60 in Senate yet. We need every (R) we can get. Even a McPain in the @ss. If only because we know that he will vote the right way for the leadership positions.

He needs to be gotten rid of. But the way to do it is through a primary challenge BY SOMEONE WHO CAN ACTUALLY GET ELECTED IN NOVEMBER! A hard core right-winger that will never actually become a senator is far worse than a RINO that is one already.

And as far as fiscal policy McCain is far right - which is good.
