Stay inside and lock the doors and windows. Don't answer the phone. plug all drains and stuff the toilets with pillows until they are air tight.
Drink another bottle of tequila.

You think that we connect
That the chemistry's correct
Your words walk right through my ears
Presuming I like what I hear
And now I'm stuck in the web
You're spinning
You've got me for your prey...
Sorry I'm not home right now
I'm walking into spider webs
So leave a message
And I'll call you back
A likely story, but leave a message
And I'll call you back
You take advantage of what's mine
You're taking up my time
Don't have the courage inside me
To tell you please just let me be
Communication, telephone invasion
I'm planning my escape...
CHORUS
And it's all your fault
I screen my phone calls
No matter who calls
I gotta screen my phone calls
Now it's gone too deep
You wake me in my sleep
My dreams become nightmares
'Cause you're ringing in my ears

Heck, make the best of it. Change the sign at the edge of town to "Temple Texas, Home of the World Wide Web!" Al Gore can come over and invent it all over agin!

Ah. . .Temple. . .where I got shot at for the first time in my life.
Was police officer there, back in the mid-70's.
Went to a call about a fight going on between neighbors.
Location was duplex, just east of the 300 block of South 8th street (you know the area).
At 2:00am neighbors arguing about noise, one neighbor yells through the thin walls to the other neighbor and insults him.
Other neighbor shot .22 through the wall back at the guy.
Other guy calls the cops.
I show up and my back-up arrives.
He sends me to the back door as he (the experienced guy) heads for the front door.
As he knocks on the front door the bad guy runs out the back door.
I am just coming around the corner of the back of the duplex, see the back screen door burst off its hinges, and I see this guy running FAST and holding a pistol.
(Time slows down here)
I start to draw my .357 (loaded with 157 grain, semi-jacketed hollow-points), and yell Freeze!
The guys arm swings back at me and I hear a pop and see a small flash.
My goodness, Im being shot at!
I whip up my weapon and do my best Clint Eastwood and BLAM! Fire back at the guy.
I missed. . .not only did I miss the bad guy , I barely missed shooting my own toe!
How does Dirty Harry do it?
Anyway, eventually we caught the guy.
