Did Mel win, does anybody know? Also what were the results of the abortion/parental notification amendment on the Florida ballot?
I am bummed, I screwed that up. The wording of the text on the ballot was so stupid, I misunderstood it at first. Now, I am a reasonably intelligent guy, but I got thrown off as to whether it was "Yes, you want the law in place to prevent abortion w/o notification" with "No you dont", or if it was "Yes you want kids to have abortions w/o notification"... I voted "Yes.". UGH! And when I re-read my sample ballot I realized I had made a huge mistake and voted for abortions without notification. My girlfriend got it right, so at least we cancel each other so so I don't feel too bad.
Cursed legal mumbo jumbo. The rest of the amendments were more straightforward.
Sorry about that one folks. I meant no harm. Besides, on the important vote, I DID get that one right, and my voice was heard!

Betty Castor conceded to Martinez this morning. I don't know about the ballot propsition, but you can find the Florida Secretary of State website and look up the results.
