Yep, same here...at least doubled the ration and I add a bit of scratch to boost their metabolism...keep 'em warm. I also gave them a couple of gallons of warm water last night...the waterer had already started to freeze.
Jar jar (the white egg layer) is the only one that seems to be wanting to molt, she lost all those pretty tail feathers and has about half and half new body feathers...she's gonna be real pretty when she gets done. She took only a couple of weeks off then began to lay again. We get anywhere from 3-5 eggs a day...pretty good for just a half-dozen birds!
Hehe...chickens really are carnivorous...I've seen one of them down a lizard whole.

we should have increased their rations a few weeks ago... our newbirds from last summer should've been layin' by now, but they've been underfed... we get from 5-7 a day, but when thenewbirds get to layin' we should have a dozen or more...
