In HS I was always wearing my dad's (USAF) cast-off disinsignia'd field jackets and flightline boots in winter (before the youthful wearing of militaria became popular), and had an unfashionably (for the '80's) short haircut. Therefore, I was called "Sarge".
When I returned for my 10-year reunion, I had just made Sergeant in the Army, and wore my Class A's. Told the others, "Y'all always called me 'Sarge"...now it's true."
Hullo all and good morning!
38 degrees in the NW, and socked in with a thick fog this morning.
It just occurred to me that the Holidays are almost upon us.... Eeek!
