With what? - a crayon?
Yep. They cover the tables with brown paper and put out a bunch of crayons so the kids can doodle. The waitress also writes her name on the table, upside down (from herself, rightside up for us)...it's a bit of stunt they do or something. I think you're supposed to be impressed and tip them hughly for it.
So it's not right on the table!
And I am sure you do, right? ;~D
Oh no! LOL Look at the picture with me sitting at the table with the boys...you can see the paper hanging off.
I think we tipped her $3 for a $7 meal...gave her a ten-dollar bill.
most excellent... you've got a great family... cain't wait tuh see yuh again...
will this before or after we have "Fear Factor on Dogwood Ridge"?...
All four of you ate for $7?
We had a great time. Went bowling the next day...that was fun too, except Joshua tossed his bowling ball into the lane, it rolled a while and then stopped, and it just sat there, right in the middle of the lane. That was pretty funny...
No.
Steve and I ate a quick sandwich before we left. Joshua and Matthew split a meal. Steve got a soda.
OK - a $3 tip is a very good tip on $7! Way better than average!
I wuz just wunderin' :~D
She went above and beyond, considering we only got one meal and brought our own dessert in! LOL She got the whole restaurant to sing to Joshua and took our picture...she was very good natured and deserved a good tip...even though it was only three dollars.
Yeah.... seems she did do more than write her name upside-down, impressive as that was ;~D
Yeah - we can post that! want to write a little explanation or caption for it?
No, not anything other than he's a friend of Joshua's from church. He was Joshua's Awanas teacher last year. You've seen the picture of Joshua on his lap, haven't you? It's the sweetest picture...
Sorry I haven't put together that thread yet.... I am feeling a little too disconnected from what to do. Here's what I don't feel like I know.
Is it a joint Hobbit Hole/Foxhole project? Or is this something we just hope they will join? Who at the Foxhole is involved? Should we talk to them about it in any way?
Is the project mostly for getting ideas about things to send, for you to post product ideas and things you find and get feedback from a larger group than ours --- or ---is the real goal to set up actual donors and packages on a larger scale than we can do here? If the latter, who is going to collect the money and send packages? or do we know yet? If it is you, will we publish your contact info or work that out later?
Fabulous!
