I'm a succesful childhood graduate! And it's pretty obvious most people shouldn't be parents... honestly... to think a quick swat across the butt is worse than screaming in the face of a toddler?
It'll be here before you know it.... We've got to get some good luck coming our way to manage a few trips this year..... ecurbh's sister is marrying in Arizona in March, we have another weekend in April we are supposed to go to that marriage conference thingy, and then to travel again in June will be a struggle. It'll be a busy spring!
I came into parenthood with a pretty clear picture of what was not right. I am still finding out what IS right, with Steve's input and the Holy Spirit's guidance.
So far, so good! At least in my opinion...

Well, I've had good examples of how to do it, and practical skills, so if I should ever have kids I think I can handle it.
Threads like that irk me, because so clearly you can't make blanket statements like "spanking is bad". Sure, there are some kids who don't respond to spanking, but most kids don't respond to time-outs, certainly not after they're five or so. "Stand in the corner" is a little better, but not much. And bribing kids is the worst idea... well, I'd never heard the "drill sergeant" method of childrearing until today. That's probably worse.

Hey there... my wifi is a little spotty tonight, but I'll try to keep up.

Our internet was out all day and we couldn't function. We were completely useless!
Matthew lost a tooth this evening! He told me it was loose a while back and I told him not to talk to me about it again until it was out. I get real whoozy.
He walked up to me earlier and showed it to me.
One of his side teeth.
How much is a tooth worth these days?
I'm thinkin' $5 since it's one of the last ones he'll loose.
How horrible. My sympathies...
My wifi is shaky, due to a big crowd of people sitting at a table in between me and the door to the atrium... believe it or not. The A/P is on a straight line through the door and about 50 feet on the other side. I can't move without losing the signal. All I can do is wait for them to leave.
Maybe if I were able to annoy them somehow...
What's the link for the Extended Edition trailer again??
