Hmmm... well... just don't infect me!

I am rewatching FMA here because I've got nothing more exciting to do. This works. I love this show.

And not only that...I replaced the cloth cover on my computer chair seat...which was hard! I know it came off that seat, but I couldn't see how it would fit going back on! And I sliced open a finger on a exposed staple while I was doing that.

But I'm sittin' comfy now.

I'm still watching FMwSS.

I'm kinda depressed tonight. I may be making a tough decision regarding the dogs soon. I know I've mentioned that off and on and maybe I'll just file it away again this time...but then again maybe I won't.

$2700...if I could just unload this piece of crap of a van I'd buy it!

Didn't I read that your van is working well now?

We're discussing possibly driving to my brother's wedding in mine...it'd be alllll the way across country and likely wouldn't save us much in the way of money, but if we could all get the time off...it'd be an incredible adventure. We'll see.

I think my van could do it! It's a good little van, for the most part.

At least I don't think it's the transmission anymore...when the fuse worked, it drove great. Now it won't shift out of first gear again.

So it might cost us, but hopefully not as much.

Take your van in, get the oil changed, the fluids topped off and such, check your tires. Make sure your spare is in good shape. I bet it would do just fine!

Oh, bummer! Hope it's something obvious when you do get it looked at!

Are you thinking of selling it as soon as it works again?

The only thing I worry a bit about is that it's something like a 3000 mile trip...now, that'd put it over 100K while we're on the trip, PLUS doesn't it seem like I'd need to have the oil changed on the other side, too?

But then...I suppose in a place like that, they likely have Jiffy Lube and stuff like that. Here, you have to make an appointment and drop your car off and it's a hassle. I forget that it likely isn't that way everywhere.

I would like to! It's just hard to arrange with Steve in school...

I thought about putting an ad in the paper with a webpage url...see what hits I could get online. But I don't have a clue how to set up a webpage...

I just drive in and wait while they change my oil, so you shouldn't have any trouble...

It's a good idea, changing it...

One of my co-workers used Cars.com - they let you post pictures, I think. He sold his car in the matter of a day or so, even all the way up here in the boonies!

I'm always a little scared of posting ads since I wouldn't know how to deal with people and sort out any crooks...if ya know what I mean. But probably Steve could handle it, right?

Yes, Steve will handle it. Which is why there is some trouble doing it...with him in school. Probably try to wait till this May.

But I sure would like to be rid of it.

Has anything in particular changed with the dog sitation, or is it more because you need a new job?

If you drive and come with a hundred miles of Fort Collins I expect you to let me know so we can do a road-moot!

I think it's just a matter of stress building up more and more with the dogs. Part of it is the job, part of it is just...the way they are and my expectations, I guess.

*sigh*

Realistically, I think they and I would be better off if I found new homes for them, but I also feel like a colossal failure for even thinking about admitting that. But they aren't at all like the dog I had before and I'm also not in the same situation as I was when I got Fiona, and as far as I can see into the future, it'll only get worse as time goes on.

Oh...and if we drive, it will be through Canada...so not very close to Colorado, unfortunately! That'd have to be another road trip, I guess.

We might go through Montana, though. Mmmm...Montana...

You know, a part of me wants to quit my job before we go. If I had a couple thousand in the bank instead of zip, I just might.

I don't think it's failure to admit that your sitation has changed. You're not to be blamed for it. Maybe this just isn't the right time of your life to have a dog, as hard as that sounds.
