Welcome to The Hobbit Hole!
A new road or a secret gate...
New verse:
Upon the hearth the fire is red, Beneath the roof there is a bed; But not yet weary are our feet, Still round the corner we may meet A sudden tree or standing stone That none have seen but we alone. Tree and flower and leaf and grass, Let them pass! Let them pass! Hill and water under sky, Pass them by! Pass them by! |
Still round the corner there may wait A new road or a secret gate, And though we pass them by today, Tomorrow we may come this way And take the hidden paths that run Towards the Moon or to the Sun. Apple, thorn, and nut and sloe, Let them go! Let them go! Sand and stone and pool and dell, Fare you well! Fare you well! |
Home is behind, the world ahead, And there are many paths to tread Through shadows to the edge of night, Until the stars are all alight. Then world behind and home ahead, Well wander back to home and bed. Mist and twilight, cloud and shade, Away shall fade! Away shall fade! Fire and lamp, and meat and bread, And then to bed! And then to bed! |

Heh...join the club.
A bunch of us are doing NaNoWriMo, and I think almost everyone is at least somewhat behind due to one thing or another.
And characters never do quite what you expect 'em to do...

Good morning .. man, I've been reading some of the liberal posts. They are REALLY ANGRY all-inclusive, tolerant people, aren't they?

Somethin' stoppin' ya? Well, during working hours, yeah.
That and the fact that since my last post, my laptop crashed about half a dozen times. Tech support came and sprinkled some magic dust and said a prayer over it. We'll see, but I've been having multiple problems lately.
As fer the work thing...sigh...one of our Department Director's pulled me aside earlier today and said the boss troll wanted to know if "Corin has the experience to do this..."
YOU MEAN LIKE WHAT'S ON MY RESUME AND IN MY FLIPPIN' JOB DESCRIPTION? They yanked it all away from me over politics and the person they wanted to do it just got another job.
What a concept, after all this time to actually be considered to be allowed to do the job I was hired to do...

Heh...so that's a positive development, no? Well, yes and no. Only if they let me do that and get someone else to do what I'm currently doing. I don't have time for both.
And then there's the fact that in litle over a year, things are guaranteed to change around here...and that's all I'm sayin' about that...

Matching game. 3 in a row until you turn all the boxes gold.
It's timed, so it adds a nice bit of pressure to it! ;-D
