I have another idea and I'm still stupid about getting it (them) out.
I'll use the word 'camera' to indicate from what perspective the 'view' is ...
1st
from across the highway, two figures with knap-sacks are seen hitchhiking next to what seems to be a two post highway sign (the kind that identify an exit or mileage to a city, etc.)
The two figures are obviously Kerry and Edwards.
A vehicle has just passed (about two or three feet of the vehicle's rear end is seen going past them on the left and the brake light has been applied) (pick-up truck?) and both figures look on the vehicle with smiles because it seems as if the vehicle is slowing down to pick them up.
2nd
The camera is now on the same side as Kerry/Edwards and a vehicle has indeed stopped and has backed up to pick them up. Kerry/Edwards have picked up their packs and are starting towards the truck. (Yeah, I decided it should be a pick-up).
3rd
The camera pulls back to show the sign they had been standing under, it says "Information Highway Next Million Miles"
..............
And the truck has pulled away spinning dust and gravel in their faces.
The license plate says, "AMERICA"
OK ... that's what I do when I'm driving (a big truck) ... think of stuff I wish I could do ala some of you more incredibly talented freepers.
Step away from the keyboard, knarf.....
Awww ... annie ... it's OK ... I got my seat belt on ... it's the law, y'know.
must be a lousy idea.
Not complete, in my opinion - needs more - I mean I get what you are trying to say - but it doesn't come together smoothly -
just my opinion -
Change that to "New Media Highway" and I think ya got a cartoon.
OK ... make it a seven panel strip ala FFFB's.
