Is There A "Brave Celebrities For Kerry Who Put Their Careers At Risk" List?

There are many brave celebrities who put their careers in jeopardy by supporting Kerry and saying nasty things about President Bush. These partially-talented folks have every right to leverage their celebrity into brown-nosing. The impact that these semi-attractive and room temperature IQ famous folks had on the young and first time voters was extraordinary!

Just as they have a right to express their opinions and to act on those opinions, so do we. That is why I'd like to recognize those lip-syncing soon to be Hollywood Squares contestants and place their names on a list of honor.

Not a "black" list, mind you. That would be too McCarthyistic, something evil to be avoided. No, I am talking about a "List of Brave Celebrities."

I'd like to identify all the celebrities who went above and beyond to support Kerry and insult President Bush. It is not that I'll refuse to help them prosper in any way because of their opinions or what they said. No, it is because that I hold them in such high regard that I would not want them to think I was spending my money to buy their, book/music, see their show or support their product/their sponsor's product in order to curry favor with them.

TOPICS: Chit/Chat
KEYWORDS: celebrities; filth; kerry; leftists; liberals; neocommunists
What names should go on the List of Brave Celebrities to help all of us decide how to spend our money and who we should support? I got Springstein. He's I guy I'll never again offend by trying to buy his favor by picking up a CD or ticket. Golly, he showed such high moral character by jeopardizing hismusic/performing career!

What other folks go on what the dems will surely call a BLACK LIST?

Special thanks to Whoopie Goldberg for her profane comedy routine at a fundraiser in NYC that helped to define just what a classless jerk Kerry was.

Here is a list of names that I have gathered that are Kerry supporters: Ben Affleck obviously...

• Matt Damon gave $25,000, and "Titanic" heartthrob Leonardo DiCaprio tossed in $2,000
• "There's something venal and arrogant about Bush, and it drives me up the wall," said actor-writer-comedian Chevy Chase, who gave $32,000 to Team Kerry.
• Kerry grabbed $4,000 from Caroline Kennedy, $2,000 from Ron Howard and $1,000 each from Goldie Hawn and Lauren Bacall
• Supermarkets czar John Catsimatidis, who shelled out $52,000 to the Democratic National Committee.
• Actor Robert DeNiro, who contributed $27,000 to pro-Kerry groups, according to campaign finance tracking by PoliticalMoneyLine.com.
• Actors Kevin Bacon and Michael Douglas, who offered $17,000 and $15,000 respectively.
• "Doonesbury" creator Garry Trudeau, who gave $56,000 to the DNC.
• Design diva Diane von Furstenberg and media mogul hubby Barry Diller, who anted up $30,000 and $25,000 respectively.
• Frightmeister Stephen King, who came up with $25,000 - before the Democrats had even picked a candidate to oppose Bush.
• Harvey Weinstein, the Miramax magnate who produced "Fahrenheit 9/11" and "Lord of the Rings," wrote checks worth $52,000 to the DNC.
• Stephen Bing, who won notoriety when he initially denied siring a son with British actress Liz Hurley - until DNA tests proved otherwise. Bing gave a stunning $8.2 million to pro-Kerry groups - the so-called "soft money" 527s - which can legally spend unlimited sums on advertising.
• Charlize Theron, 29, who won the Best Actress Oscar in 2003 for "Monster," gave $1,000 to the Kerry camp.
• Uma Thurman, 34, the vengeful, dressed-to-thrill assassin in "Kill Bill," handed $4,000 to Kerry-Edwards.
• Stone Gossard, 38, the grunge guitarist with supergroup Pearl Jam, gave $10,000 to PunkVoter Inc., a pro-Kerry 527.
