Yep, I took more than one Zantac tablet yesterday. Sure am glad this thing's over with.

Well I have to admit that the exit polls didn't sway my optimism any more that CBS's fraudulent document story. I was so optimistic yesterday, that I even thought Bush would take my state of Oregon right up until they called the state for Kerry shortly after the polls closed here. I have gotten to the point that I don't believe much of anything I read or hear from the media, especially when it comes to the subject of politics, until I can verify the facts for myself.
While I had been praying for President Bush's reelection, I will admit that last night when it came out that we needed to seal the win with Ohio, which was running fairly close, I decided that perhaps I hadn't prayed quite enough. I started praying some more along with lots of other freepers, and the lead in Ohio got larger. By the time I went to bed about 2:00 a.m. I was back to being confident that President Bush had been reelected.
I was less optimistic, however, that Kerry would concede any time soon. In fact I still don't believe he will truly concede, given that his campaign has called his concession speech a "Directional Statement". I do not expect to hear the words concede, lost, or anything comparable out of Kerry's mouth. I fully expect Kerry to tell the country that President Bush needs to unite America, its allies, and work with the U.N., lead our country in a new direction...yada yada yada...
