I think what happened is that Brit's description of her as a know-it-all was ambiguous, and when she decided to take it as an insult and get angry, he went out of his way to placate her. He must have his reasons - she's one of the few Dem commentators Fox has who is not a total shill - though I'm starting to revise my opinion about her.
