Paging Bill Gates....Bill...pick up the phone....now's your chance to get back at Larry Ellison......
An F-18 was on Ebay months ago, it was in kit form. It went for half price which is really a steal! I have no idea who bought it. Hopefully not a guy named Faheed.

I don't think ebay should allow auctions of nuclear bombers.
"I don't think ebay should allow auctions of nuclear bombers.".
Why not? He he. It probably could never fly. The Brits would not allow a aircraft such as this to be let go unless it was a pile of junk. It probably is totally stripped of all aviontic packages, any weapontry, etc.. In other words a shell. If you fired up the engines assuming you actually new how to do that along with the required ground gear etc..
the engines if they started probably would blow the hell up!
Such aircraft frames are normally sold for organizations to put them on a nice piece of grass for public veiwing.
These are cool looking planes.
I also like the B-47.
Ping.
Which AF general was it who bet Admiral Rickover that he would have a nuclear-powered bomber in the water before Adm. Rickover would have a nuclear-powered submarine in the air?
Oh, that's good to know. I guess I've seen one too many James Bond movies!

Just a guess. General LeMay?

Bond had crossed my mind as I read it. But I hope you don't really think the one for sale is capable of flying
do you? Do you have any idea how much it cost to maintain these type aircraft in flying order? Let alone if it was parked on some berm or hanger for the past twenty five years and no one did anything to it. Surely most of the things required to keep it flyable (hydrolic lines, basic electric components used in basic control surfaces manipulation, whatever) no longer are reliable. If you know what a capacitor is for instance. Capacitors and resitors used back in that time frame where not designed to last for long durations. Electrotic capacitors for instance, would most probably by now have had their electrolitic fluid inside the capacitor dried up. So if you applied lets say 400 volts to a capacitor that no longer had the electrotic insulation in it, it would blow up! Bingo, probably take out other parts such as resistors and or transistors that where in that part of the circuit board. Just a little example. The plane is a pile of junk someone is trying to unload for big bucks that no longer can fly.
"Just a guess. General LeMay?" No wait a minute.
How about General Vandenburg?

Well yes I had thought so, but very glad to be enlightened.

"I doesn't need to fly. It just needs to sit on the bottom of the Golden Grotto, in the Bahamas, under a camouflage net! Of course a mockup was used in Thunderball."
What the fild industry ought to do is show all the original Bond series. They had class!
Well, got my vote in. NE Philadelphia. As you would expect, lots of Lurch goons roving around the polling place.
I and my mome where probably the only two that voted a straight Rep ticket. Yes we used the new touch screens. I made sure each column was pressed and showed up with red light before hitting the VOTE box. In this way if the computer is rigged, it is less likely to be able to vote dumbo if one asks for a straight ticket.
As you all will see in Drudge Report, Philly is already showing lots of voter fraud. And based on the districts shown as having rigged machines, I would bet a paycheck they are all rigged for Lurch. Hopefully some will be tried and convicted and sent to jail. The democratic party acts exactly as the Communiists do. Control the people.
And these dupes have not a clue. Sorry bastards!
