I just got a telephone call from Dale Earnhardt, Jr., asking me to vote Republican. Isn't one call from Number 8 worth three Barbra Streisands or two Bruce Springsteens?
Well, MN is swingin' too! But I haven't gotten any calls from anyone.
The bad news is his dad is voting for Kerry in five states!

Indeed, most NASCARites support Republicans. DEJ himself doesn't give, but many of his family members donate to Republicans. Others:

Is Nascar a great sport or what. I love these guys. I am so glad that NASCAR is doing well. Dale Jr. learned well from his father. Dale Sr. was a mans man.

True story: I met Erskin's father, "Skipper" Bowles in an elevator in the early 1970s when Skipper was running for govenor. I stuck out my hand to shake his and said, "Skipper Bowles, I'm glad to meet you." He refused to shake my hand. He was drunk at time and embarrassed, I suppose. One remembers things like that.

Hey, don't knock your vet. At least she's diligent enough to check up on Fifi. When I practiced, I routinely called my clients to check on my patients. Good medicine.
I am in what I assumed to be safe NC. I am surprised at the Republican efforts here. I don't remember them doing this in 2000.
My wife is going to be mad. She just missed Rudy's call.
