LOL - you sound just like Peta - leave the kids out of it - geesh. - Oh and give out 500 pieces of candy tightwad. :-)
bttt
How cool. I bought 12 bags of candy. I went with my grandsons to a carnival and got back around 7. My husband had the lights out. He said he was swarmed.
MHO, I would leave the kids out of it. The parents I would hand it to maybe, but not the kids.
If I was an "undecided" voter it wouldn't sit well with me as the parent of the child gets it. We are hardcore here, but not all are.
I know you mean well, and I agree with you 100%. But I think it might backfire.
I've had 23 trick or treaters tonight. That TRIPLES last year! We're in an old neighborhood with no street lights . . . .I wish I'd thought to put in a pro-Bush message with my candy . . .
My sister's brother-in-law dressed his 2 year old son in an elephant costume and put a Bush/Cheney '04 tie around his neck. He also put Bush/Cheney pins all over the elephant costume and gave one to each person that gave candy to his son. I thought it was a great idea.
I hope I have enough candy. Pretty soon they're going to get into the stash I bought for myself!
LOL! In our city, convicted sexual offenders are ordered to keep porch lights off and shades drawn closed (law enforcement is out checking known sexual offenders' homes). As a result, EVERYONE keeps their porch lights, shades open, and the candy handy. I'm glad we only get a handful of trick-or-treaters. I was all set with candy, and tonight a bunch of them came by asking for canned goods for the needy! We mostly cook from scratch, freezer, or home-canned, so I was ill-prepared. Dang faith-based initiatives!
