While watching the "100 Scariest Movies" on Bravo, there was an interesting moment. John Landis was commenting on "The Exorcist" and said something like "It took a completely unbelievable situation and made it seem realistic, that the devil would take over a young girl and the Catholic Church would be the good protecting us from evil, when they weren't molesting young boys..." First, what an assinine thing to say, but typical for a Hollywood idiot. Now, I know demonic possession is not believed in by most people these days (myself included), but there are some who do believe in it and not just Catholics. But that's hardly the main point. It's just another example in Christian bashing by the media elites, and this from a man who killed Vic Morrow and two kids while filming that crappy "Twilight Zone" movie. What an asshat. Mr. "I'm so superior to those fools who believe in this crap and dumb Catholics" has never expressed remorse for what he did, in fact he looks happy as a friggin' clam on the Bravo show.
OK, now that that's said, what is the scariest movie of all time? For me it's the aforementioned "The Exorcist."
Bunny Lake is Missing - 1965, British thriller.
I'll have to check that one out.
