Is Kerry Proposing Micro-Management of the War on Terrorism?

It occurred to me after watching the Sunday News Shows, that what John Kerry is proposing, when he says he can manage the IraqWar/War-on-Terrorism and make better decisions than President Bush, is exactly what caused the Vietnam debacle, Bay-of-Pigs disaster and the failed Iran Hostage Rescue.

Add to those losses, the stalemates of the Korean War and Cuban Missile Crisis, plus 8 years of useless UN Resolutions during the 90's, it becomes obvious that what Kerry promises if elected - micro-management of the War - is not in our county's best interests and will definitely lead to a less safe, perhaps defeated, America!

On the other hand, President Bush has allowed his Generals total management the war, to decide troop requirements and tactics, while his doctrine of preemptive action has succeeded in keeping the Muslim Killers from attacking our country since 9/11.

Based on the successes of 2 World Wars, Gulf War and Afghanistan, where the Generals were given free hand to win the wars, it is obvious that President Bush is the right choice on November 2, 2004...rto

Not unless you confuse ''micromanagement'' with ''bugging out''.

Politicians are always too involved. Truman never let McCarthur run a war for example. Clinton believed against the experts that Kosovo could be secured without ground troops. Instead he managed to fry the people who was suppose to save. Bush knows that wars, especially wars to save the oppressed cannot be won without the blood and toil of ground troops. He had the fortunate aid of the Northern Alliance, but in Iraq he knew that troops on the ground is the only way to finish the job. Half efforts, which Clinton seemed to prefer, just don't cut it. The object of WWII was not some half job of pushing Hitler from France - it was the whole job - unconditional surrender.

Which brings me to the war on terror. I hope no one here is under the illusion that this war will proceed without some tough actions. Meaning we may need to challenge so called allies like Saudi Arabia. And if we do not get that cooperation US troops will need to get on the ground there to wipe out the Wahabis. Not today and maybe not for a decade from now. Militant Islam has declared war on the Western World. At some point I believe we must bring the war to them. The Afghan action was a start.
