I can't believe I just heard him say this about the new OBL tape:

"Karl Rove probably set him up"

He was referring to the possibility of the White House in cahoots with OBL.. WHAT?!? Walter.. it's time to retire permanently..

Was this a joke? Did he smile when he said it?

Walter has been a little off his rocker the past few years.... Get ready everyone for the MSM spin machine. They have been in shock the last few hours, now they realize its time to take a new tack and spin this as well... Problem for the MSM is enough Americans are smart enough to realize the truth from the spin.

Walter Cronkite sold out America with his false reporting of the action in VN during and after the Tet Offensive and he's been an anti-AMerican one world globalist ever since then. Time for Walter to go away for good.

Someone here suggested almost the same thing - and I said it was nice of OBL to go along -

Old Walt should retire - Oh, wait - he already did that - so they must be "using" him because long ago, people did trust him - but I do believe people have seen the light since then -

I watched the Roger Mudd interview with Walter that aired on the History Channel tonite at 8. Roger asked Walter if in his retirement, he had "come out of the closet as a liberal". Walter proudly said yes, but denied that it had ever affected his reporting. Yes, and I'm the Lost Dauphin of the Bourbons.

Trying to watch it but can't. Larry asked Walter why the election was so "vituperative". Cronkite laid the blame smack on the Bush administration because we have angered the world.

wow, turned it on and watching walter and you can hardly follow him.. He is incoherent and stuttering all the time. He seems like he is playing with less than a full deck. Ok, have to turn the channel now, I feel dirty watching LK and CNN...

His replacement, Dan Rather, was busted wide open last month as a DNC shill, so it looks like they dusted the moth balls off old Walter and hauled him out.
