Oh, how could I ever forget my worst pet peeve?
"Comprised of"
Nothing is ever "comprised of" anything else. It either comprises something else or it is comprised by something else. The whole comprises the parts; the parts compose the whole. People use "comprise" as a synonym for "compose" when they want to appear learned, but they achieve the opposite effect.

Made up "ist" words used in place of real words. Islamist instead of muslim, homosexualist instead of homosexual, etc etc. It's highly annoying.

Now that's one I've never heard of (probably a good thing) - 'homosexualist'.

Now that's one I've never heard of (probably a good thing) - 'homosexualist'. The only place I've ever seen it used, is here. I don't grok the usage of Islamist either. We already had a word for adherents to Islam.

People who don't proofread their posts, who don't use the spellcheck, or don't put in paragraphs.(BUT I'll live with it because FR has kept me sane) You've been spying on me haven't you?
