That was really strange.

Well, it's 10:14 pm here on the West Coast, and Trump JUST announced it less than 30 seconds ago, about 2 1/4 hour into the 3 hour show.

I found all that stuff with the audience boring, artificially dragging things out.

I am glad Kelly won -- although I wish Trump wouldn't have been so derogatory towards him, just to keep the suspense alive another few seconds longer.

We are watching it taped, on the West Coast, maybe they took out the earlier announcement, or rearraged the show?

As I said, we saw the decision 2 hours and 15 min into the show.

Wow!! “The Donald” had me going there for a second I thought he might give it Jen. Good move on his part for suspense. Then I realized something that Jen forgot the number rule of the boardroom and that is not to interrupt “Donald Trump” when he is speaking and she did it twice. Then she forgot the second rule which is do not be whiner when she threw out the bogus integrity charge of “OOhhh!!! Mr. Trump that mean ole Kelly was whispering about me to other people. Don’t pick him because he’s mean and that not fair!!! Whine, Whine, Whine”. Trump saw that for the BS it was and hired Kelly. Then she pulled an “Andy” by taking credit for a falling idea of the ice cream task. But her biggest problem was not stepping up and leading in the tasks which Kelly did on a consistent basis whether he was project manager or not.

Is Ivana dense or what. They were giving here a platform to try and regain some integrity and she was to Blonde(using her definition of dumb) to realize it. What a Stupe.

And what the heck was LiarOmarosa talking about? When was anybody giving Chris credit for anything other than consolatory credit for being on the show and a New Yorker?

Elizabeth came out swinging and I was impressed. She definitely learned from her firing. She was not fooling around. Kelly showed some good people skills in handling that situation between her, John, and Raj. I liked Raj but it was good to see him get called on the carpet for once and have to admit he was wrong. I can’t believe he talked Robin into going out to coffee with him.

It was a great show and the prize project was awesome. I definitely would have picked the New York project. The Las Vegas building is going to look super sharp when they finish it. Out there in the desert with those gold reflecting windows it will be super bright.

But next season looks like it is going to be a better battle because the street smart people will have something to prove and it looked as thou there will be a bunch of good characters on both teams.

I might have been wrong about when they announced the winner in the show. I think that they took an hour and a half of content and stretched it over three hours.

I certainly agree with that. I don't know why they felt they have to fill up 3 hrs.

After I found out Kelly won and what project he chose ( I think he chose wisely), I couldn't turn the channel away quick enough. I was not going to watch another half hour of nothing.

I'm glad Kelly won, but the Donald was not as complimentary to him as he was to Bill Rancic last season. And I think for good reason. It's hard to top Rancic's performance. Perhaps it was just the editing, but Kelly did look like a deer in the headlights quite a few times during the task.

Jen didn't do well at all. Both of them made the huge mistake of not buttering up the bigwigs. No matter how busy they were, they should have combed their hair, put on clean shirts, and bowed and scraped and charmed a bit. (Reminds me of cooking a big dinner for company, then answering the door in a spattered apron, no makeup, hair a mess. You make your guests uncomfortable.)

Ivana looked cuter than ever in a great outfit and excellent makeup. As you know, I liked her from the start, not so much as the Apprentice, but as a funny, engaging person to watch. "Just say NO, Ivana."

My favorite moment in the show was seeing Troy again. I loved that guy, though I knew he wouldn't beat Rancic. Anyone know what he's doing now?

The new season starts in February and the groups look quite different. Not as pretty and polished but more "real" as Regis said. Perhaps they brought in the Street Smart team after the huge impression Troy made on fans last season. Even the School team looked more average. We'll see how this effects the interest level and ratings.

And btw, I can't take too much of Regis but have great admiration for his talent and and respect for his long years doing well in the toughest business of all, show biz.

Kelly was smart to take the NY project to stay close to Donald, though architecturally, the condos look rather bunkerish. Maybe that's part of their appeal in bomb-leery NYC.

See ou next season. Thanks for the great thread.

I read a few months ago in a news story that Troy was in college and Trump was paying his tuition.
Didn't look like Trump was that crazy about picking Kelly in the end.
The dark haired guy who choked on live tv looked all bent over in his chair afterwards, like he was going to hurl.
I think the endorsements part of the show, when they got the audience people's opinions was just a cover your ass move on Trumps part. I think he knew he was going to pick Kelly but didn't want any feminist backlash for picking a man again, so he had all those pro-Kelly opinions aired to bolster his choice. I still think Troy was the best prospect he ever had.

They should have saved it for the end. How stupid.

I kind of went the other way on the choice for the projects. Yes, in NYC you're close to Trump and all the perks, but man, to be the guy who helped put up the tallest building in las Vegas, that would have taken me longer than Kelly to pass up. I agree, those buildings in NY look like something you would find along the metro going through Harlem. Nothing too exciting.

Imus kept playing that clip over and over today on MSNBC. It was hillarious. Imus said his wife thought he was having a heart attack and Regis just moved on to the next one.

I still think Troy was the best prospect he ever had.

He sure had more natural ability and passion for business than any of this season's crowd. Than almost anyone in the world, for that matter. A star! But Rancic outwitted and outplayed him. Maybe after Troy finishes his college experience, he'll go on to work for Trump and rise higher in the ranks than Rancic. Whatever he does, he'll be great.
