Heinz Products Look at a Heinz catsup bottle. Sure enough, it was MADE IN CANADA. Look at a jar of Heinz sandwich slice pickles. Yep.... "Made in Mexico." Check some of your Heinz products. Sen. John Kerry keeps talking about U.S. corporations leaving this country and setting up shop in foreign countries, taking thousands of jobs with them. He is right, because that has happened. However, he is trying to blame it on George W. Bush. As far as I know, Bush has not moved one factory out of this country because he is not the owner of a single...

I don't have a single Heinz product. Nada, zip, nothing.

Trying like hell to keep from buying anything French as well. Sometimes it is hard to tell.

But, everything is made in some country, other than our own and that is a shame.

But, it is life and todays reality. I wish I could come up with something profound to fix it, but American workers require things like health ins, decent salaries, safety standards and good hours, good working conditions with A/C and Heat, and a nice parking spot for their brand new 30,000 dollar ride.

Compare the U.S average factory worker with one in another country that now makes that product, you will find a similar person of age and appearance, with only a high school education and a family to feed. But no expensive car, no expensive mortgage, no demands for any benefits other than what the competition offers, and often a better work ethic as far as attendance, drive and accuracy.

If I could fix this, I would. I would say something profound and claim I had the answer.

But I can't. I can't think of a single thing.

Sorry for the rant, but it has been on my mind tonight as I tried to council my youngest eighteen year old who is exhibiting the usual laziness in his first year of college.

I told him it was his one and only chance to have a better life and a better future. That if he failed to get a higher education he would be likely unemployed or at least very unhappy for the remainder of his life because jobs for high school grads do not pay.

He doesn't see my wisdom, but he has not rejected the council. I hope I can get him straightened out before it is too late, and he will be searching for that job that is not here anymore and will not come back.

He will be searching fruitlessly for something that is not there.

And eating my food and spending my money!!!!!!!!!!

GGGGGGRRRRRRRRRRRR!!!!!!!!
