'tame' on his own info site mentioned an all time favourite musical called "the Witness". If he has any info on where to get a copy of this could he please reply.

Is this the same Barry McGuire of "Eve of Destruction" fame, that morose doomsday folk song of the mid 60's?

I have this album..yes.. the original VINYL album. As I recall, yes..it's with Barry McGuire, written by Jimmy and Carol Owens, on the old WORD "LIGHT" label, OR it may be on the SPARROW label.

I must have bought it, hmm..maybe around 25-26 years ago. The only problem I have now is that I have a turn table; BUT it has no "pre-amp".. otherwise, I would rip it into Mp3 format, burn a cd for you..NOT sure if the album is still in print, or has been re-released on cd.

Seems that that album is almost no where to be found.. I just found it on ebay of all places... here is the URL

Here are three options. I used number 3. 1. Using an existing sound system, acquire from radio shack an 1/8 headphone jack to 1/8 headphone jack. Connect your sound system using the headphone jack to your in-line on audio card.
2. Using an existing turntable, acquire from radio shack: a preamp, a splitter from speaker cables to 1/8 headphone jack, and headphone extension cable. Connect to in-line jack on audio card.
3. To build a vinyl to mp3 environment, acquire a Sony Stereo Turntable System PS-LX250H [it has a build in preamp] and acquire from radio shack: a splitter from speaker cables to 1/8 headphone jack, and headphone extension cable. Connect to in-line jack on audio card.
