If the Cards can force a game 6 or game 7, those games are scheduled for Sat. & Sunday in Boston. There is rain in the forecast for both those days, so a deciding Game 7 would, in the event of a rainout, be played on Monday night. Will there be enough Sox fans hung over from celebrating, or drowining their sorrows in defeat, that will be too worn out to vote on Tuesday? Remeber, there are a lot of Sox snowbirds down in FL. Enough to tip MASS/FL to Bush, if Game 7 is indeed played on Monday nite?
:)
I think you are on to something, as everyone knows, liberals are big boozers.
I think the bigger issue is with Kerry down, will a game 6 and 7 prevent him from getting his message out this weekend? (not that his message is working or anything).
Wouldn't that be a hoot if Kerry lost in his own home state? Al Gore pulled it off nicely last election..........
For Massachusetts to go Bush, the game would have to be bombed out, not rained out. It's just not going to happen.
What if a game 6 or 7 were forced and Kerry fan Tom Werner (co-owner of the Sox) were to ask him to throw out the first pitch, generating thousands of booing fans (yeah,
baby!)? "Lovey, they haven't even held the kick-off
yet and they're booing me! I hope this won't prevent the Red Sox from scoring any goals tonight!"
It would be even better if Teddy would join the celebration and give everyone a ride home after the lost.
There's a built-in Friday open date that will be used for the third St. Louis games.
LOL. Hopefully Ted would avoid the bridges!
Kerry does want a combination Red Sox victory parade and an Election Day rally for him:

My message to Democratic Florida voters is this: This World Series is high drama. You don't want to miss a minute of this Series. Watch ALL the games! Every minute of each game! This is far more important than some silly presidential election. The Red Sox haven't won in 86 years! The Democrats won the White house as recently as eight years ago. Go Red Sox! They deserve to win. When the Democrats have been out of the White House for 86 years, then you might have reason to complain. Also, David Ortiz is better then John Kerry. Or was that Manny Ortiz?
Regardless of what happens, weatherwise or the outcome of the Series, it will undoubtedly be Bush's fault.
The Poll in The Boston Herald had Kerry 50% Bush 31%. No one i know here likes him. Never have.
As you know, of course, that when an American League team wins in an election year, the GOP candidate wins.
