General Black Jack Pershing (Must Read - Vanity)

Posted on 10/25/2004 10:27:15 AM PDT by AMHN

If you’re not familiar with General Black Jack Pershing, run a search...he was not only a very interesting General but managed to stop terrorism dead in its tracks.

I say with all the ultimatums giving to the US over the past 3 years (actually many more) from extremist Islamic terrorists and the lack of vocal condemnation from so-called Islamic moderates and Islamic clerics, it is time we used the General Black Jack Pershing method of negotiation.

The US Military needs to take a few large KC-135 type planes and instead of filling them with fuel, fill them with pigs blood and pork grease. The planes should be aimed at a number of Islamic holy sites and Meccas. One plane should be used for each American death at the hand of any Islamic terrorist group. We don't even have to kill one person (unless they don't take heed and clear the shrine before the plane slams into it). It's about time we hit these fanatics with some of their worst fears. And the suicide bombers...if even one piece of them is found...it will be wrapped up in bacon, dropped in a 55 gal barrel of pork grease and buried for all eternity along with other nuclear waste deposited around the world. This way nobody has to die...If they kill themselves, we bury them...If they kill us, we lubricate them. It would only take one plane before they knew we meant business.

MikeinIraq...maybe I do understand it and recognize the threat the nukes in Iran pose as they will soon be pointing at Israel. Isn't this the home to Christianity and Judaism. Maybe this has alread crossed their minds. We won the war against the other evil empire, Russia, by an arms race...do you think that as the other 1/6th of the world sits by idly this doesn't comfort the enemy. Your attitude seems to be one of the exact fear they are trying to instill in us, one of don't do anything for fear of stiring our Radical Islamic beliefs...it is my understanding that they are already stirred and are costing lives.

So the Kuwaitis are not on our side? The Qataris? The Pakistanis?

You do know how to make friends right? You dont do that by peeing in their wheaties. As great as our military is and believe me after being in Iraq for the past 10 months they are on a new high with me, we cannot take on nearly 1.5 billion pissed off Muslims.

Doing what is proposed and (alledgedly) occured under Pershing would only inflame these people, topple governments that are mostly friendly to us and put a lot of Americans, both soldiers and civilians in immienent danger. Do you really want to do that?

Right now President Bush has the correct plan for dealing with this issue. Topple the tyrannical governments and establish peaceful democratic societies that are stable. Stablity will end the terrorism, not trying to dump pig guts on them.

I not saying go straigth to Mecca. But starting with Fallujah or Sadr City may just be enough. Even a conversation like this might get them to think twice about the course of action they're planning.

No conversations like this just prove to them what they already think.

Not that we can convince them otherwise, but America still has the moral high road in the area. If you want to lose that then be my guest, but just make sure that my deployment in Iraq is up first....

Make up my mind for me would you? Either you say go to the "Meccas" (even though there is only one in Islam) or you are saying we should only do it on the hot spots, i.e. Fallujah or Sadr City...which is it?

First, anyone that does not think this is a Holy War is deluding themselves or saying so for political expediency (which may or may not be a bad thing.

Its a Holy War because even though it has been started by extremists, it is not being condemed sufficiently by the moderates or by any other serious clerics (instead, many have called the killing of children an act acceptable to rid the Holy Lands of infadels.

As far as going to Mecca or to the hot spots. My words don't need parced like a Democrat...it is pretty easy to read...start with the hot spots and move, as necessary, up the ladder.

If the Islamic world want to quickly dispell the belief that this is not a Holy War, then they need to have Islamic leaders condem what is happening. No one that comes out lightly against it, and another that comes out heavy for it...but with one voice, strong, and clear.

that strong and clear voice will end up with a lot of American boys dead....

there are easier and better ways to fix the situation. The last time a holy war happened between the Christians and Moslems a lot of people died. While we will be fighting little wars to take down these dictatorships (Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan, Syria, etc) we wont be fighting one huge war, which is what it will become if you starting offending everyone in the World by casting aside our alledged respect for ALL religions...

and if you dont want your words parsed, then make sure you dont contradict yourself like a Democrat....

MikeinIraq, I just want to give you some props for speaking plain common sense, mixed in with a generous amount of conscience.

Thank you...

I honestly dont think that some of the people on here saying "Let's just bomb them all and screw the consequences" really think through what they are advocating...at least I hope they aren't....
