Michael Savage on air now

Posted on 10/22/2004 5:12:22 PM PDT by hipaatwo

Just read an e-mail from a mother of a female soldier in Iraq. Her daughter told her there is a $250,000 reward to kidnap a female soldier to behead her.

That would bring shock of course. That's what they want before an election. I was just thinking of that the other day. How much would it shock us if a female troop was beheaded?

That's all they would have to do, then the public would demand Fallujah be carpet bombed.

I really don't see that, sorry.

About 1/2 the electorate thinks they can vote this situation away. There isn't any evidence that a beheaded american woman would change that, sorry.

Carpet bombing would be too good for them----level the place into rubble, then do it again and reduce the rubble to its component atoms. That would be REAL "shock and Awe"

If they were to do that to a female soldier, there WOULD be blood in the streets if the muslims in this country did not CONDEMN such actions immediately.

There SHOULD be, but if there wasn't immediately, then there wouldn't ever be.

After all, plenty of American women jumped off of the Towers on 9/11, and any apologies were very muted. Where was the reaction then?

Atlanta 1230/1340 no longer broadcasts Savage. The went to sports squawk. Atlanta 105.3 no longer broadcast MJ in the Morning and The Snite show. They went latino.

It nearly seems as though a deliberate effort has been made over the past 4 months to practically elimenate all conservative talk radio shows in the Atlanta market. When the sun sets in Atlanta, there is not a rational voice left in the wilderness.

This is not news, by the way.

The cutthroat cultists have been seeking US mil hostages
since we first got there, and want a female more than a
male.

This might be the first time I've seen a dollar figure.

What's the promise worth, anyway? Like some Baathist
is gonna give a random Iraqi 250K$ and let them walk
away? Sure.

What they might be expecting is that one of the criminal
kidnap gangs would grab someone and arrange an exchange
of payment and prisoner under carefully guarded conditions.

I'd like to think we are running some entrapments to draw
out the 'nappers.

A good point, but consider this:

After 9/11 the pictures of the poor folks jumping out of the towers (BTW, my HS class lost 24) were rarely shown.

Even on theinternet, the quality of such photos was pretty poor.

If, God Forbid, there were a beheading; it would be over the internet in minutes. Regrettably, I have seen the videos--and the quality is nauseatingly good. Such a barbaric act to an American Female (esp. a soldier) WOULD have very severe reaction here.

As retired Navy, I cantell you that a helluva lot servicemembers would be a lot less self- restricted in how we dealt with 'civilians' in Iraq. Many servicemembers would be demanding their superiors to take the severest action imaginable.

And who could blame them? But, the original question was how the great mass of people would react here at home to the infection we have been too-graciously harboring. It would make my blood boil, and yours, too. But what would really happen HERE? Would our PC schools still have Muslim prayer rooms and Ramadan indoctrination? Would anchor babies still bring in hostile families? Would there be riots?

I have to listen to Savage on the internet.

You can get him on http://www.ksky.com or http://www.krla870.com

I only wish I'd started listening to him ages ago. Never have lived where he's been on the radio regularly. So listening on the net works great for me.

Try internet radio. I use streamaudio.com at work, which gets me WTAM in Nashville (Beck, Rush, Hannity), KNEW in SF (Savage, etc.) and KCBQ in San Diego (Prager, Medved). Plus, their streaming mechanism lets me get past the corporate firewall.

You can even get to Schnitt via WIOD in Miami (newsradio610.com, I think), which uses a different streaming mechanism, which mostly gets past the firewall (XP is better than W2K with this one).
