Only if the refs keep the flags in their pockets...

I am sure the Sox will have yet another 'Bill Buckner Moment' to savor.

I should not have clicked on "topics for NY", I should have allowed the Yankees fans to heal first. My appologies. GO SOX! GO PATS!

I don't know if the world is ready for a Red Sox or Cubbies World Series win, if the planets are aligned the prophecy is nigh. or something along those lines.

If you hadn't spammed all the State topic lists with this , I would have missed it. Thanks.

No offense but, Boston does not deserve a World Series win. The riots and such on Wednesday night made the case that Red Sox fans are not ready for the experience most of the rest of us call "winning."

Go Cardinals. Beat the #$&#ing Bosox. :-)

...and 1967, and 1946 (wherein, by a huge coincidence, the Sox lost to...the Cardinals).

Thank you Johnny Pesky. (g!)

Newgeezer, I agree, the actions of some are aweful and the death of that poor young girl is tragic. Our brightest bulbs were not out that night.

As far as winning goes, I believe we do deserve it, especially after that AROD stunt that blew back in his face.

I hold no animosity towards the Cards other than being our opponents, I am a big Mcgwire fan of days past. damn he could hit the ball!

hobbes, no harm no foul on GW if that should happen, America has been a safe place for the incubation of New England SPORTS victories for the past four years. Hopefully not New England political victories though, lets make that clear!

Sorry, but no.

The Eagles are a machine this year, and will take the Superbowl.

Which team did the Celtics beat for the first championship?
Which team did the Patriots beat for the first championship?
Which team did the Bruins beat for the first championship(in 25 years)?

Answer The team are Red Sox playing for the World Series.

The St. Louis Cardinals also play in the NBA, NFL & NHL? WOW! They are talented.

There is no curse. This could actually be the year though, the last time the Redsox beat the Yankees in a playoff was 1904.
Being a long suffering Sox fan I should know better then to get my hopes up.
The last time we played the Cardinals in 67' I was 7 years old, my son is 7 this year.
Hope he has better luck then I did.
