Two Patriots Superbowl victories and Curse Reversed under President George W. Bush.

Posted on 10/22/2004 8:45:24 AM PDT by guinnessboy

I just wanted to take a second to address the issue that is not being talked about and thank the supernatural forces that have delivered to MASSACHUSETTS 2 Patriots Superbowl wins (do I smell a third?) and the current reversal of the Curse of the Bambino. All of these wonderful things happening on the watch of President George W. Bush. This alone should make New England sports fans want to re-elect GW even if just for supersticious reasoning. GW has been my President since Super Tuesday year 2000. As a side note, there are alot of Pro Bush sentiments surfacing in MA, just in my home town Wrentham, there are three Bush/Cheney signs going through the center, all have been there for months undisturbed, the bordering town of Franklin has a few on the main road as well. Remember this is Massachusetts (so called Kerry country). There are a bunch of cars driving around with Bush/Cheney '04 Bumper stickers out here as well with MA plates. I hope that smell is a landslide Reagan style 50 states!

You mean delivered to NEW ENGLAND, don't you? It's the NEW ENGLAND Patriots, not the MASSACHUSETTS Patriots...

Oh, and stop all the curse talk - you'll jinx the whole thing ;0)

"reversal of the Curse of the Bambino"

Not going to happen. Cards will win.

The Babe's curse isn't broken until the Sox win the Series.

The curse has not been reversed yet. Remember 1918. The Red Sox have to win the World Series first. By your description the curse was reversed in 1975 and 1986 when the Red Sox got to the World Series but lost.

Great point! I think it would be hallarious if bush took credit for the Boston Redsox finally making it back to the world series. I mean, he has to take the grief for eveything else.

...and the current reversal of the Curse of the Bambino

You're counting your chickens a little early, aren't you? Or doesn't the name Bill Buckner ring any bells?

Ummm...I hate to break it to all deliriously happy Red Sox fans, but The Curse has not been reversed yet. Y'all still have to win the World Series for The Curse to be vanquished. Remember 1986...NY Mets v. Red Sox?? Bill Buckner...destiny calling :-)!!

Granted that we have to get through the Cards, my point is the irony of all the sports history of our beloved New England teams that is being written into the books as we speak, are happening Under President Bush. We in (so called Kerry country) should pray for a Bush victory for this to continue, after all Kerry has already said that Sox fans are delusional, and his favorite player is Manny Ortez, whoever that is.................LOL

The Colts will never get through the Pats. The Pats "D" are Peyton's daddies.

I have been impressed with the Lions this year. It looks like they are making progress. I said that about the Bungles last year and look at them now.

Which team did the Celtics beat for the first championship?
Which team did the Patriots beat for the first championship?
Which team did the Bruins beat for the first championship(in 25 years)?

The Patriots have leveled out and are playing consistently well. Peyton manning is improving more and more every day. He is making smarter plays all the time. Pretty soon teams are going to catch up to the pats.
