My family's hooked.
"Survivor" meets "Predator" meets "Peyton Place."
Good show.
I absolutely love Lost and am completely obsessed with finding out what the heck is up with that island. A few of my friends have some theories but we're not all that sure about any of them. The frustrating part about the whole thing is that there are NO LEAKS from the set of this show, or very few in comparison to other shows. Perhaps that is because there are so few extras. But, usually I like to read some spoilers because I'm nosy and have zero patience. For some reason, no one is leaking any spoilers for Lost, or any spoilers worth anything.
I love your Bush-bot stuff!! I totally agree with you on that one. There are plenty of them on FR and they drive me crazy from time to time.
The Peyton Place comment is right. I would find the show much more enjoyable if I were watching how people I can relate to are dealing with their predicament. With most shows the trick is to get your audience hooked by having characters they can relate to. I can't relate to any of these people.
I'll give it a few more weeks.
Some co-workers told me about it - I didn't think I'd like it, but I snagged a copy of the pilot, watched it, and I was hooked.
They've left so many things unexplained that I think they can keep everyone in suspense and watching for the whole season, if not more: Where did the polar bear and boars come from, not to mention the unseen monster, what's the deal with the years-old looping distress signal, why was that woman *really* being extradited back to the U.S., etc, etc.
Plus, with 46(?) people left, they got plenty of, uh, "expendable" characters...
"Lost" tonight! :-)
Comments? Q's?
I like Joan of Arcadia.
Utterly and irrevocably addicted. Hurry up, 7:00.
This is the only show since Twin Peaks that I just can't wait for the next installment. The writing team has done a great job of creating character arcs and plotlines. Everytime I think I have the "big picture" of the island nailed down, something happens which makes me have to rethink everything.
wow. what a good show. I didn't catch that it was Hurley on the TV during the flashback of the Korean guy... but Hurley owns the company Locke worked for?? How weird.
Great show! I bought the season1 DVD set and watched it over the weekend. I'm hooked!
If there is a ping list please put me on it.
